# 'Error Establishing Database Connection'

 * Hi there,
 * I am having issues with my website bizstay.co.uk. It gives ‘error establishing
   database connection’ message every time I try to connect. Same message is given
   when I log in to wp-admin. I have checked wp-config.php all seems to be perfectly
   fine including username/password etc.. I have contacted my server provider again
   they say they do not see any problems.
 * I am unable to get a response from the people who helped me creating the website.
   Any other suggestions? The website has been down now for nearly a week and this
   is really frustrating.

 * Have you created a database name and matched it with the database username?
 * If not, I would suggest checking through the Codex page, “[Configure Database Settings](https://codex.wordpress.org/Editing_wp-config.php#Configure_Database_Settings)“.

 * If this is not a brand new site and the site was working before and you didn’t
   change anything, you need to get your webhost to help. It’s their issue; they
   changed something on the server re: databse connection details. Or check the 
   database crendentials yourself in Cpanel against those on wp-config.php. See
