Error establishing a database connection – How do I change it?

    Hello,
    I would love to change the “Error establishing a database connection” page as my MySQL host is not brilliant. How can I edit the page so that what I’d like appears instead of the defautl page?

    Don’t know off the top of my head how to change that, it’ll be a file somewhere.

    But may I suggest that if your MYSQL host is constantly going down, thus disrupting your website; then you should change hosts immediatly.

    that page is generated near the bottom (about line 297) of wp-includes/wp-db.php

    I have an “Error establishing a database connection” error.
    I setup wordpress,mysql,…
    My databse name,host,user,pass is correct.
    How can I fix it?

    make sure you’ve added the user to the database, make sure you’ve got the correct prefixes on the database (eg mine are automatically generated as resiny_wp and not just wp)

    beyond that I dunno. read the suggestions in the error message
