I can not enter my websites (neither front nor back) because this plugin caused an error: “establishing a database connection” error_log shows: failed to open stream: no such file or directory in / home4 / jtconstruc71 / public_html / jtconstructioninc .ca / wp-content / plugins / wp-optimize / wp-optimize.php on line 147 ”

How can I disable this plugin to be able to login to wordpress and retrieve my website ??

I just install it but I do not remember the installed version, I installed it last week.

    I greatly appreciate the help

  • I just ran the updated plugin on a local site and have the same issue – The frontend of the site isn’t able to connect to the database.. I was prompted by the plugin in dashboard view to add a line to wp-config and run a repair, which I did. Feedback: wp_options: Table is marked as crashed and last repair failed.

    Hi @elsa-carreno and @tendigit,

I am unware of this issue and seems a strange one.

If you could provide me with some detailed information so that I can re-create the scenario here, I will be able to see what is happening and then will be able to raise an issue to get a fix in place.

Some help information would be the type of setup you have. Nice and easy way to find information about your setup is within WP-Optimze itself. Over on the right hand side there is a “Status” section. If you could copy that information for all your sites, that would be perfect.

For future referee, if you navigate to the wp-content / plugins and re-name the wp-optimize folder itself, this will disable the plugin.

    Cheers,

    Stu

Here’s the status for the site I had issues with:

    Status

    WP-Optimize 2.1.1 – running on: PHP 5.5.24, MySQL 5.6.24 – Darwin
    There was no automatic optimization
    Scheduled cleaning disabled
    Not keeping recent data

    Current database size: 5.5 MB
You can save around: 2.4 KB

I’ve used your plugin many times, and this is the first time I’ve seen something like this. It could very well be an issue with the site’s database. I started with a site built years ago… so it was pretty antiquated and used methods that need to be redone. I’m building a new theme now and wanted to clean out data-trash. It’s worth mentioning that I also tried optimizing from phpmyadmin and ran into the same error.

I don’t think disabling the plugin would have fixed anything… the database had been affected, so the damage was done.
