# Error establishing a database connection

 * Hi there,
 * since yesterday without any reason the following error message occurs once I 
   try to access the wp-admin area:
 * > Warning: mysql_connect() [function.mysql-connect]: Can’t connect to MySQL server
   > on ‘127.0.0.1’ (111 “Connection refused”) in /home/u336031975/public_html/wp-
   > includes/wp-db.php on line 1416
 * I tried to connect it to another database, but that didn’t solve the problem.
   I have send my host a ticket to ask if the database is down. In the same time
   I would like to know if you have any ideas or some expierence with this issue?
 * The webhost is: Hostinger
 * Thank you and hope to get it fixed quite soon.

 * “Connection refused” is something your hosting provider will need to fix for 
   you. Either the database server is offline, or it’s refusing to communicate with
   your site.

 * Thanks James,
 * in the end it turned out the I had to change the config.php (hostname) and the
   qtranslate plugin. after that everything was great.
