Title: Error Establishing a Database Connection Last modified: August 21, 2016 --- # Error Establishing a Database Connection * [richesnrags](https://wordpress.org/support/users/richesnrags/) * (@richesnrags) * [12 years, 5 months ago](https://wordpress.org/support/topic/error-establishing-a-database-connection-545/) * Hello, This seems like a common problem with wordpress but after browsing the threads I haven’t found an answer that worked for me. * I hadn’t logged into this site for a couple weeks but today I logged into the wp-admin didnt do anything then a half hour later decided to install a plugin, I clicked on plugins and saw the error establishing database connection. since then I haven’t been able to log in to wp-admin or to see the site. * I host with godaddy so I called them and they said everything was ok on their end and that I should come here for help. I can post it here to be sure, is there any info in the file that I don’t want to post here?
