I first downloaded a new version 3.5 of wordpress, unzipped and uploaded to my server. Then created my 2nd wordpress database on my godaddy site and went to the phpMyadmin and could see that the DB was created correctly and setup.
Next I went to the url and got the wp-admin/setup-config page. I entered the CORRECT information and got:
“Error establishing a database connection”. All the information I put in is correct as I have repeated this about 10 times now.
I know the database server is running because I just loaded my other wordpress site and it works fine.
Next I opened the wp-config-sample document and again typed in the correct information renamed the file and uploaded that to the server, then went to the url and got:
“Error establishing a database connection” only this time the error message came up larger on screen h1 size.
I don’t know what else to try but am most frustrated with all of this.
