I’m getting this error and I have no idea how to fix it. I practically have zero coding experience so I only work from the wordpress dashboard.

I suddenly got this error. I haven’t changed anything, haven’t installed anything new.

I did recieve a email from one of my plugins (WordPress Firewall) saying it detected and blocked a potential attack. However, the IP adress listed is my own (a couple of months ago I managed to block myself from my website by blacklisting my IP adress.. woops!). I’ve been getting these emails for the past couple of days. Whenever I cleared my cache history and cookies I was able to re-enter my website and the “attacks” would stop. I meant to whitelist my IP adress, but I forgot.

I’m not sure whether the problem is my IP adress, or if it’s completely down. I’m very confused. Any help at all would be appreciated immensely!

Ah so I’ve found out the website is avaiable on other machines. I think the Firewall has blocked my IP adress for some reason. I’m getting a friend of mine to unblock me from their computer, should be an easy fix.
However, I still haven’t the slightest idea why this is suddenly happening. Anybody???

IT seems your website is ok now. Right?

Such error is related to the WordPress -> MySQL database connection failure.

Yeah, my friend whitelisted my IP adress and I’ve turned the plugin off. It wasn’t doing much for me anyway.

I have no idea what that means, but thanks for the reply! 🙂 I can always count on the wordpress community with my newb problems 🙂 Thank you!
