# Error Establishing a Database Connection

 * I have a bunch of different problems with my blog right now, but most pressing
   is the fact that I can’t access WordPress. I try to put in my password and the
   screen comes up with these three questions:
    Are you sure you have the correct
   username and password? Are you sure that you have typed the correct hostname?
   Are you sure that the database server is running?
 * I’m pretty sure I have the right username and password.
    I definitely have the
   correct hostname. I assume my database server is running. . how do I tell if 
   it’s not? Everything looks just like usual there.
 * Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

 * You need to contact your hosts and check that you are using the right host name,
   username & password.

 * Okay, I have them, and they’re all what I thought they were. I’m still confused,
   do I use that username and password on WordPress?

 * No – they are added to your wp-config.php file.

 * Okay, I changed them. Now when I try to go to songberries.com/wp-login.php I 
   get a screen that says in big bold letters “Error establishing a database connection”.
