# Error establishing a database connection

 * Hi to all….
 *  I have installed multisite domain mapping plugin…. and i have done the vhost
   config in media temple server. Now i have created the domain and symbolic link
   that pointed to the main site.But if doing domain mapping means it displays **_“
   Error establishing a database connection”_** in the new site. can anyone have
   thoughts about this….have to do any changes in wp-config file….

 * that means you messed it up and it can;t find the new site.
 * media temple has different instructions for domain mapping, depending on what
   account type you have there.

 * I have done the vhost settings in the server… and also point out the newly created
   domains to my main domain(which is having the wordpress installation).Is there
   any other ways to doing the domain mapping in media temple….please explain me…

 * Like I said above – it is different for each kind of media temple account you
   have. You still haven;t said which one. DV? GS? Yes, it makes a difference.
 * And have you used the plugin to actually map the domain in wordpress?

   plugin for mapping the domains…
