Error establishing a database connection

Hi All,

i installed successfully everything and then had fatel errors and issues after starting work on a page. So i decided to remove everything from my host and delete the mysql database and create a new database.
I followed the instructions and changed the config.php with the new details, however now I get the following: my sqldata base is ready and my config files show the right information.

So (apart from re-installing) where have I gone wrong

I checked the phpadmin and there are are no tables

Error establishing a database connection
This either means that the username and password information in your wp-config.php file is incorrect or we can’t contact the database server at xxxxxx.oneandone.co.uk. This could mean your host’s database server is down.

* Are you sure you have the correct username and password?
* Are you sure that you have typed the correct hostname?
* Are you sure that the database server is running?
