# Error enabling Jetpack: Server error

 * Hi, I’ve been trying to install Jetpack for several hours and keep getting this
   error: Error enabling Jetpack: Server error.
 * My site is new, so no plugins. I host with WordPress so shouldn’t be an issue
   with access. Ideas?

 * It could be php.ini configuration problems on the host if you already ruled out
   the plugins. Where are you hosting the site? Also, what was the exact error you
   received?
 * I wrote an article going through the troubleshooting steps of some of the errors
   I received when trying to install Jetpack myself. Maybe it will be of use to

 * Can you please use Jetpack’s Debugger module to send us some more information
   about your site?
    1. Go to the Jetpack page in your dashboard.
    2. Click on the **Debug** link appearing at the bottom of the page.
    3. Click the link that says **“click here to contact Jetpack support.”**
    4. Fill in the description box and your name and email address.
    5. Click the “Contact Support” button to send us the debug results privately. **
       It’s best not to post this information on public forums, as it contains private
       details about your site.**
