    Hello there,

I have recently installed Jetpack CRM and he is very cool.

But I have a problem downloading quotes or invoices, with Firefox, Edge or others, same message after download begin:

“error cannot be saved because source file cannot be read”

The PDF file is so a 0ko file, if I click on the reload button on Firefox or Edge to start again the download I obtain a 269ko file but impossible to open it with any PDF software (corrupted file).

It seems like when I click on download button there is no right to go read the PDF on FTP ?

I have search but can’t find any folder with the files, maybe generated only on demand ?

I have no Ajax error or PHP on console, everything is fine except during the download.

Last version of each plugins. PHP 8.3, MySQL 8.

I have tried by deactivate all plugins and same problem.

I have tried by changing to the default theme and same problem.

Everything by default on JetpackCRM because fresh installation.

    Thanks for help.

    Hi there, @mxpozor,

Thanks for the detailed description of your problem and for already tried to troubleshooting it. As far as I can read, it sounds like a possible mis-settings or some conflicts we need to find the root of.

    • Can you check if the PDF engine module is enabled in CRM? You can find it here: https://YOURSITEURL/wp-admin/admin.php?page=zerobscrm-modules
    • When you create a quote or an invoice, do they display okay on your backend and in the Client Portal? What if you send them via email?
    • Do you use custom fonts in the PDF? You may want to check this page to make sure that’s well setup too.

Let me know what you find out, and we’ll take it from there if necessary. Thanks!

    Hi,

Yes PDF engine is enabled and green.

Yes they display ok and I can send it by email without problem, but I prefer to download it to send it manually with a real mail tool.

I do not use custom font, everything is by default.

    Hey @mxpozor,

Thanks for checking these. Could you also try different browsers (Safari, IE, Chrome) to see if you can eventually download the PDFs? That’s to rule out any browser conflict. Can you also check if you can download other types of PDFs from the same browsers that are erroring with CRM?

Also, it’d be great to check with your host to ensure that everything works okay on their end and that nothing in their settings prevents PDFs from being downloaded.

    Thanks!

Same problem with all others browser, and on different OS (MAC, android mobile, windows).

Yes I can download all others PDF file.

I’m hosting on OVH I don’t hear that it’s possible to block the download of type of file but will check.

    Hey,

Thanks for talking about host blocking PDF because I have find the solution.

It’s a f***** problem between OVH and Gzip compression add in .htaccess by plugin like Wp Rocket or WP Optimize.

I have found this link: https://docs.wp-rocket.me/article/1661-can-t-download-pdf-files-when-wp-rocket-is-active

And I have delete manually all text in htacces about Gzip compression.

    And it’s good now.

A big thanks to you for the idea and the quick answers !!

and sending it via Email generates this other error:
