    Hello,

I no longer see the calendar and the different schedules when I am on my page.
I upgraded to version 5.5 of WordPress and my theme is Grand Restaurant.

    Thank you

    Hi ana,

Are you no longer able to view the booking form on your reservations page? Or are you talking about the view bookings page?

If it’s the booking form page, then could you please provide a URL to the page, so I can see/experience the exact issue?

If it’s the view bookings page, then please note that is actually part of the premium version of the plugin. And the WordPress.org forums are meant for questions about the free version of this software. As such, for any issue involving the view bookings page, please contact us directly by email or visit our website (https://www.fivestarplugins.com/), and we’d be happy to assist you in using the premium version.

    Hi,

    Hi bern,

Did you update anything else (i.e. another plugin or your theme) at the same time as you updated WordPress to version 5.5? We’ve tested with 5.5. and there are no issues. I had a look in the browser developer console when on your page and there are a few errors. Please see the screenshot below for reference. I can’t know if it’s WordPress 5.5 that caused these JavaScript errors on your site, or if maybe you updated another plugin or your theme and it broke, but this issue is not stemming from our plugin. However, it is affecting our plugin, which needs JavaScript to run the date and time picker.

To follow up, I believe the issue could be related to the transition to using jQuery 3.x in WordPress 5.5. You can find more info about that here:

    https://wptavern.com/major-jquery-changes-on-the-way-for-wordpress-5-5-and-beyond

It’s possible that either your theme or one (or more) of the plugins you are using could have jQuery code that is not compatible with 3.x. And, with WordPress now making that transition in 5.5, the code in those themes/plugins is now starting to break. And, because our plugin requires JavaScript for the booking form and the edit booking functionalities, if you’ve got JavaScript errors on your page due to other plugins or the theme, then it can cause our plugin to not be able to run correctly.

If it looks like this might be the case, I’d be happy to help you figure out what other code is causing errors on your site, which is preventing the form in our plugin from functioning correctly.

Thanx….find it. Deactivate two Plugins (Polaroid/WP Lightbox 2) and it works now.

Also, just so you can see it in action, we are running WordPress 5.5, as well as the latest version of our plugin, on our demo site, here:

    https://www.fivestarplugins.com/five-star-restaurant-reservations-demo/

And there are no JavaScript errors and the form is working correctly.

    Hi bern,

Thanks for confirming that. If you need to continue using those plugins, perhaps you could reach out to the developer/author of those plugins to let them know they might not be compatible with the new version of WordPress.
