Hi there – really trying to get tis plugin to test / work but I’m having great difficulty. I’m most confident my credentials are correct however I continually get the SQLSTATE[HY000] [2002] error. I know that the solution is as per the below, however how / where do I make this adjustment? On the existing Joomla database? Or the WP database I am attempting to migrate it to?

This error happens when the host is set like localhost:/tmp/mysql5d.sock
Instead, you must set the host to be localhost;unix_socket=/tmp/mysql5d.sock

Also, if the new WP host is a CloudSQL – would this be the issue?

Does it work if you set the database hostname to “localhost”?
Are you sure that the Joomla and WordPress databases are located on the same server?

Does it work if you set the database hostname to “localhost”? No it doesn’t as my WP server is a CloudSQL

Are you sure that the Joomla and WordPress databases are located on the same server? No, should it be? If they are not am I able to migrate from another server using an IP address or similar?

    Cheers. F

Hello – dont worry, I set up a whole new environment and managed to get most of the database imported successfully – the products on the existing Joomla site.

    Thanks.
