The last couple of days I have been trying out Postie on my blog, sorted the setup and configuration, all worked well, email is posted to the blog. But when I run the check mail script manually, it returns multiple errors, the following error message is displayed multiple times.

iconv: error converting from character set iso-8859-1 to UTF-8

The email is posted to the blog, without incident, I was just wondering about the error message, any thoughts.

The plug-in itself does everything I wanted it to do.

    WordPress version 5.7.2-en_GB
    Postie version 1.9.55

Likely what is happening is that the email client is claiming the text is iso-8859-1, but really it isn’t. As it seems to be working for you it probably doesn’t matter.

Thank you for the speed of the response, email client? I have the same result sending mail from outlook desktop 2016, and from both outlook and Gmail web interface, and from my phone. Or by using the web interface of my domains email service.

It’s not a big problem for me I just like to understand problems, thank you again.
