    When activating wordefence get ‘error connecting to database’. If I deactivate problem goes away. Using PHP 7.4.33 (host site says cannot upgrade PHP just yet. Also on WordPress 6.6.3

    Hi @martinstraith,

    I get errors in multiple browsers for SSL_ERROR_UNRECOGNIZED_NAME_ALERT when trying to visit that URL. Is there a problem with your SSL certificate, as even trying to visit http forces me to https? I can’t get a response in the command line with cURL from http or https either.

    Wordfence should work on any site with WordPress 4.7 or higher and PHP version 7.0 or higher, so I don’t think your versions are an issue. I would check in with your host to see if there are any error logs from the time you tried to activate Wordfence. They may be able to pass more detailed information for you to share here or resolve the problem right away.
