Hi, I copied a website that had shipstation plugin installed and as a result the authentication key is duplicated. I tried to remove it via wp-admin/options.php but it came up with the same code. I then installed the plugin Reset WC Shipstation Authentication Key. This worked I now have a new authentication key.

Though I am still getting a connection error. The test connection always works no issues but when I connect in shipstation I get the error An error has occurred.

There is nothing in the debug logs on the plugin. How can I completely clear this issue so I can connect the site to shipstation?

Before you ask I have stopped all plugins but woocommerce and the shipstation plugin and I have also reverted back to the original WordPress clean theme.

The issues seems to exist between woocommerce and shipstation.

  • Hey @gallivantingnomad,

Thanks for letting us know everything you’ve tried so far. Have you cleared out all server caching and plugin caching after the key was reset? I’ve seen old values be used because of caching and want to make sure this isn’t happening here.

Clear out all server caching and caching plugins and then try to connect again. Let us know how that goes.

    Thanks!

Hi, I just cleared all cache, tried to add again even from an incognito window in chrome. I also tried different variations of HTTP:// https:// https://www etc and no go. The test connection works but the actually connect button comes up with – An error has occurred.

Where do we go from here?

    Hi @gallivantingnomad,

Once you’ve reset the authentication key did you also update the new key in your ShipStation account? If not, the integration between your store and ShipStation account will break.

You might also want to try the tools in WooCommerce > Status > Tools to clear WordPress transients in the database.

If that does not help either, please contact us at WooCommerce.com > My Account > Support. You may need to create an account before you can access that page.

Please include a link to this forum thread, so that we can keep track of what’s already been done.

We will be able to help you further there.

Taking too long to get resolved. I created another shipstation account and it works no issue. So there must be a problem don’t the shipstation and and pointless emailing them as their support is not very good. Thank fully not too many issues happen with it to require support. Anyway works on the new account. Thank you

    Hey @gallivantingnomad,

I’m glad that a new ShipStation account got this working for you. Sorry to hear that you had to go through all of that. If there’s ever anything we can help out with, please just let us know.

    Thanks!
