 * Help! All of a sudden I’m locked out of my WordPress blog completely. Keep getting
   this 403 alert:
 * Forbidden You don’t have permission to access /~1856379.2015579/htdocs/news/wp-
   login.php on this server.
 * Never had a problem before and was about to add a new post. Now I can’t access
   at all.

 * Try:
    – switching to the Twenty Ten theme by renaming your current theme’s folder
   in wp-content/themes using [FTP](http://codex.wordpress.org/FTP_Clients) or whatever
   file management application your host provides. You may need to access /wp-login.
   php to get this to kick in fully.
 * – [resetting the plugins folder](http://codex.wordpress.org/FAQ_Troubleshooting#How_to_deactivate_all_plugins_when_not_able_to_access_the_administrative_menus.3F)
   by FTP or phpMyAdmin.

 * Couldn’t switch the theme since I couldn’t access the wp-login.php page. Did 
   reset the plugins folder via phpMyAdmin but that didn’t seem to resolve the problem.
 * What finally worked was a cominbation of things 1. removing all of the WP files
   from the site via FTP and reloading them again 2. deactivating all plugins using
   phpMyAdmin with this from the codex:
    * In the table wp_options, under the option_name
   column (field) find the active_plugins row * Change the option_value field to:
   a:0:{}
