    PHP: 7.1
    Wordpress: 5.2.2
    Jetpack: 7.6
    Health Check: 0 Critical Errors

When I click on an image in the carousel the black popup shows up, but without the image. clicking on the “X” will not close the window. Trying to leave a comment says “Sorry, but there was an error posting your comment.” In the browser console I see this error:

    jetpack-carousel.min.js:4
Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property 'split' of undefined
        at a.fn.init.originalDimensions (jetpack-carousel.min.js:4)

        at a.fn.init.bestFit (jetpack-carousel.min.js:4)
        at a.fn.init.e.fn.jp_carousel (jetpack-carousel.min.js:4)
        at a.fn.init.fitInfo (jetpack-carousel.min.js:4)

        at a.fn.init.updateSlidePositions (jetpack-carousel.min.js:4)
        at a.fn.init.e.fn.jp_carousel (jetpack-carousel.min.js:4)
        at a.fn.init.selectSlide (jetpack-carousel.min.js:4)
        at a.fn.init.e.fn.jp_carousel (jetpack-carousel.min.js:4)

I tried with and without caching and had the same results.

Would you please see if you still have the same problem while Jetpack is the only active plugin?

    Thanks @macmanx

I have narrowed it down one feature, of one plugin. The SiteGround “SG Optimizer” plugin, “Lazy Load Images” feature is causing the Error Cannot read property ‘split’ – jetpack-carousel.min.js issue.

This feature has an Exclude List to exclude lazy loading images by CSS class, but adding jp-carousel-slide (and other jp- classes) did not help. I will contact SiteGround “SG Optimizer” support to see if they can help.

    Thanks again!

    Hey,

We’ve found the problem and we will include a fix in the next version of SG Optimizer plugin.
