Error by installing matomo

Hello, I have a problem installing matomo as follows:

I install the plugin and activate it
I can activate the tracker but on diagnostics i can see a red buble with an exclamation mark (!)
Going there on the first installs I could see that there was a problem with the cron/archiving, but now nothing is shown anymore
Accessing the Report menu in Matomo throws me in a “Ooops page” badly formated
After a while, not immediatly after installation, but circa 20-30 mins later the Admin Dashboard of my site becomes unavailable with the message below

Is worth mentioning that I am using SlickStack for my server management and the sites run not under ownership of www-data:www-data but under myuser:slickstack. I noticed that the matomo plugin is the only one that installs using www-data:www-data ownership. Changing the ownership to my custom one (recursevly for boty plugin and plugin cache directory) does not improve the situation
Deleting the matomo plugin directory makes the error message dissapear and the admin dashboard to be again available

Hi @vladbejenaru It seems like this is a plugin incompatibility issue. Kindly check check this link if you have a plugin installed? Which plugins is Matomo for WordPress known to be not compatible with?

Bad news: I do not have any of the listed plugins installed. I think I will give Matomo on premise a go. Are you interested in finding out which of my plugins is incompatible with yours?

Hi again @vladbejenaru Instead of the plugins, can you please send us a copy your PHP error log file. There might be something in there that can help us identify what’s causing the issue.
