Thank you. In the interest of helping others that may have this problem, here’s what I did below.
Temporarily renaming the plugins folder via FTP allowed me to be able to login into my dashboard again.
All plugins were deactivated at that point.
I then, still using FTP, renamed the plugins folder back to its original name “plugins”
I then went back to my plugins and started reactivating them one by one. After each activation, I refreshed my homepage (opened in another tab window) until I was able to replicate the original error again.
At that point, I knew which plugin was causing the problem, so went back to FTP, renamed it to any random name, then back to my homepage, refreshed it and boom! All working well again.
Thank you for your help.
Hi there
I have a client with the following problem, and I can’t even login to the backend to try and help.
The site is http://www.eprofile.co.za
The error message is: Fatal error: Call to a member function reset_postdata() on a non-object in /home/eprofilq/public_html/wp-includes/query.php on line 118
When I asked Greg (the client) what he did, this is what he says he did:
“I added my SC-S50610 section to the “Epson Wide Format Solvent Printing Systems” page, then I created a page for the SC-S50610. In this section I created a link to a pdf brochure on the Epson web site. I also uploaded a couple of pics and pdfs to my media library. Added media to my page (Pic). Then linked the “read more” from “Epson Wide Format Solvent Printing Systems” to my SC-S50610 page. When I created my SC-S50610 page I saved it in drafts, at the end I published it, updated the “Epson Wide Format Solvent Printing Systems” page and clicked view page. Maxine and I have tried breaking the links and I have sine changed the links to my media library.”
As I cannot access the site, I can’t go and investigate further. Please can you guide me as to how to help him fix it. I have never had this type of error before.
Warmly
Dee (South Africa)
