Error after migrating WordPress

    I have just migrated my blog to a new server. I did this by exporting the MySQL database from the old server and importing it to the new. I then copied the entire wordpress directory to the new server. The DNS change has now resolved completely. Hoewever, although I can see the home page, when I try to go to a particular blog post I get Page Not Found error.
    I am a bit lost on this. Might it have something to do with permissions? If anyone can give me some guidance I would appreciate it.

    Did you reset your permalinks if used

    Yes. I went to default then back to a seo friendly structure. Also I discovered my htaccess file was in the wrong place. All works perfectly now. Many thanks for your response.
