 * I’m getting an error when I try and build my site map that reads “Failed to notify
   bing about changes to your sitemap at…”, its the same with bing as well. It appears
   that the site map has been built but when I view it, its empty. Please advise.

 * That sitemap is not coming from All in One SEO Pack. Check your server, it may
   be an old sitemap file that is still present on the server. Also, make sure you
   don’t have any caching on the site or the server.

 * So I deleted that old site map and updated the site map in wordpress in AIO SEO.
   The sitemap is no longer blank and I am able to submit it through web master
   tools on google but I’m still getting the error “Failed to notify bing about
   changes to your sitemap” (google as well). When I look into the FTP files the
   sitemap wasn’t added.

 * Your sitemap looks fine now. It’s a dynamically generated sitemap so there’s
   no static file on the server.
 * Where are you seeing the error about Failed to notify Bing?

 * Oh okay, that makes sense.
 * I’m getting the error inside wordpress in the All in One SEO XML site map settings
   page. Here’s a screenshot:

 * Hi spomykacz,
 * Could you copy and paste the full error message? It gets cut off in the box.
   This is most likely a server configuration issue, but the full error message
   should contain a bit more useful information here.

 * Sure!
 * Failed to notify bing about changes to your sitemap at [http://www.esmsolutions.com/sitemap.xml.gz](http://www.esmsolutions.com/sitemap.xml.gz),
   unable to access via wp_remote_get().

 * Thanks! So what this means is, All in One SEO Pack isn’t able to contact other
   websites from your server with the wp_remote_get() function. This is a standard
   WordPress function that uses several different methods to contact other websites.
   One thing you might be able to try is to use a plugin such as WP Core Control
   to pick which methods are used for this; specifically, try disabling curl and
   see if that fixes this, I’ve run into that issue with some servers in the past.
   If that doesn’t help, I’d suggest contacting your hosting company and see if
   any warnings or errors are showing up on their side, or if this might be disallowed
   for security reasons.
