Sounds like NGFB is triggering a bug somewhere — a 504 error should appear in your web server log files. Could you cut-and-paste the error here? Also, try enabling WP_DEBUG and pasting any relevant errors here as well (see http://surniaulula.com/codex/plugins/nextgen-facebook/installation/debugging-and-problem-solving/ for more info on enabling WP_DEBUG).

Are you still having an issue with your web server? Did the logs show any errors? Did WP_DEBUG help?
js.
Hey JS,
Yes I still get the error 504 but I’ve deactivated the plugin. When I had it activated it wasn’t letting me into the ‘posts’ or ‘pages’ admin at all. just kept loading til it timed out into a 504.
I deactivated it coz I needed to get work done but will try again now and get back to you asap.
JS,
I don’t know how to do the debug. Is there a way of doing it from WP itself? From ‘Editor’ maybe?
Sorry mate. I’m a bit of a noob with this stuff.
Error 504 Ray ID: 265ddaf11e5704c2 • 2016-01-17 00:14:50 UTC
Gateway time-out
It says ‘Host Error’
My brother hots the site and he has access to all that .php stuff. I can only get to what’s in ‘editor’ like page.php/ header.php etc. I can’t see wpconfig.php.
…maybe I’m too out of my depth here … 🙂
So you’re getting 504s on posts and pages? My guess would be that when the plugin checks for duplicate meta tags, it’s timing out. This could be because of a performance issue, but more likely it would be a web server mis-configuration.

Ok JS, I’m looking into it. I’ll get back to you about it.
I really appreciate your help mate.
