For the past week, I keep getting the Error 503 after I try to update an existing page on my site. I get the message that the update was not possible to take place, and then my site goes down (error 503). The only way I am able to access my site again is via FTP, and then I have to change the folder ‘jetpack’ to ‘jetpack_old’.
I have my site for 2 years, and only this week I am getting these problems!
This morning, I have installed the Jetpack plugin as new, and I have lost all my email subscribers… and I had 70. This afternoon, I got the Error 503, again.
    Thanks.

We can recover the missing subscribers and stats, but first we need to get Jetpack working properly on your site.

I do see a connection error on our end, but no obvious blockers.

Would you please confirm which versions of WordPress and Jetpack you’re running, as well as which version of PHP is running on your server?

    Hello James,
Recovering the missing subscribers and stats would be great.
WordPress 5.2.2 running Twenty Seventeen theme.
    Jetpack Version 7.5.2
    PHP version: 7.2.7
    Thanks.

I’ve just changed my current PHP version to 7.3
    Is that ok?
    Thanks.

    Hello,
The script for the Contact Form is no longer working.
And the widget for collecting emails for my blog has vanished.
Please try to sort out the connection error on your end.
I am unable to work on my site… the error 503 comes back.
    Thanks.

Ok, I still don’t see any obvious blockers.

Please contact us via https://jetpack.com/contact-support/?rel=support so we can take a closer look.

James, I did submit a support request to Jetpack 24 hours ago, at your URL.
Yesterday, I’ve contacted my hosting provider, and they have increased my PHP limits.
I had default PHP limits, before.
Now, I already can update the content of existing webpages and the error 503 is no longer occurring.
But the other problems mentioned above remain…
    Thanks.

By other problems, you just mean the missing stats?

    I had 70 subscribers in my database… I only have 1, now.
My contact form is no longer working.
I also had several customized widgets… and now they all vanished.
    Thanks.

We’re still seeing connection issues, but no obvious blockers, so we can’t help with that here.

Our email support team will be able to help more thoroughly and will reply as soon as they can.

I’m getting the same 503 error, it happened 6 times during the last 2 weeks with my two websites. It was working fine but later on it started causing error. I deactivated all plugins and tried to activate one by one. I found it is Jetpack. Why it is happening? I’m not sure if any other plugin or my theme is conflicting with it. But both websites are hosted on different servers and using the different plugins, just jetpack is same in both.

    Thanks!

I, too, have been getting a 503 error on my site (http://www.mapforge-software.com/) over the last week or so. My site was inaccessible about a dozen times a day, for 5-30 minutes at a time.

The only thing that fixed it was disabling the Jetpack plugin. Is this a widespread issue with a recent Jetpack update? I keep my plugins frequently updated.

I hope a fix is found soon so I can reactivate Jetpack.

@heruca Similar to above, I do see that your site’s connection with us is broken, but I don’t see any obvious blockers. Please contact us via https://jetpack.com/contact-support/?rel=support so we can take a closer look.

@blackmario I’d need the link to the site with the problem to be sure, but at this point, I’m just going to assume you’re encountering the same exact problem as the other two here, and therefore encourage you to contact us via https://jetpack.com/contact-support/?rel=support so we can take a closer look.

I am facing the exact same error ( 503 error) after updating Jetpack on my blog indomoto.com. I can not access both front-end and wp-admin, so I deleted the Jetpack folder through Cpanel.

@indomoto, please open a ticket at https://jetpack.com/contact-support/?rel=support as we’ve asked the other people in this thread, so we can help troubleshoot this with you.

@macmanx I deactivated the plugin from both sites and here they are: https://onlinedealkart.com and https://ayurvedicherbs.co
