    Hello, Last month I created this download which was working fine, today I tried to download the file, I had systematically an issue while opening my file which was corrupted. I deleted it and recreated a new one, since then I have this message “502 Bad Gateway The server returned an invalid or incomplete response.”
    I’ve uninstalled the plugin, reinstalled it, I have no error in the chrome console. I have the latest wordpress version, I tried to deactivate all plugins but Download Monitor, I tried to delete the htaccess file in dlm_uploads, I also updated the permalinks, what can I do now?

    Could you please give us URL to the page where the download button is located? Also, could you please tell us what Download Endpoint and Endpoint Value have you entered?

    The download link is on 3 places on the homepage (https://largowinchartstrips.com/)
    See the keyword “téléchargez” on the page, it’s always the same download id.
    the endpoint is https://largowinchartstrips.com/wp-content/uploads/dlm_uploads/2021/10/LWAS-CATALOGUE-web-202110.pdf and is downloadable.

    First of all, thank you for your quick answer.
    Unfortunately, after updating Download Monitor to 4.4.6, then opened an incognito Chrome window to avoid Cache, I get the same 502 Bad Gateway message.

    I will set the links to the regular url (without DM) for the 2 first links, the third one in the footer menu will stay for your needs…

    Could you please install and activate this plugin, add a default theme( don’t activate it ). After that, go to Tool->Site Health and activate troubleshooting. This will disable all plugins and activate a default theme, but only for you, your visitors will still see the correct website. After that, please activate Download Monitor and try again to download a file ( please check that in troubleshooting mode all plugins beside Download Monitor have been disabled and that a default theme has been activated ) and let us know if the result is the same or you managed to download the file.

    Before that, can it be related to the fact these websites run on PHP8?

    It should be compatible with PHP8. Could you please tell me your hosting provider and if it’s a shared hosting scenario ?

    Ok thanks, I followed all your steps, but when I enter in troubleshooting mode, I get this bunch of messages :

    `By activating the health-check extension, a site failure has occurred. For this reason, the change was automatically canceled.

    When bulk-enabling plugins, a site failure occurred. Because of this the change was automatically reverted.

    This way, I can’t test if the file can download. BUT
    As this website is not officially launched yet, just tested this : deactivated all plugins but Download Monitor, activated Theme Twenty-twenty. This way, I’m in purest mode, result, I have the same 502 Bad Gateway message.
    I also changed the PHP version to get the most stable : 7.4.

    Do you have a custom WP with the uploads/themes/plugins folder moved out from wp-content folder ?

    Did the previous version of the plugin, 4.4.4, worked and only after you updated the problems began? Did you update only the Download Monitor plugin or WordPress itself also? Did you make any modifications to the server or did the hosting provider made modifications? Could you please try again with version 4.4.4, located here, and tell us if it is working or not? Currently we can’t replicate the problem sadly and are trying to understand if it is not something from outside of the plugin, like server configurations.

    I don’t have a custom WP (no plugins folder moved out)

    Version 4.4.4 worked in think but I don’t know if the issue began with latest version of wordpress or latest version of DM. What I can tell you is that when I installed DM and tested, it was working and all was up to date (theme- plugins-wordpress). This was on Sept. 20, 2021

    I wrote you when all was updated (wordpress and plugin)

    I didn’t change anything on the server.

    To test the previous version of DM, I firstly uninstalled all DM and data. Now that version 4.4.4 is installed, I’ve recreate a new download file and gladly it works for me. You can test it with this link : https://largowinchartstrips.com/download/13286/

    @trouille2 could you now please re-update to version 4.4.6 and see if the download works? Maybe there was something with the DB entry of the URL of the file ( also could you please specify what URL have you given the Download in the Downloadable Files/Versions setting ) as we still can’t replicate this issue 🙁
