Error 500. Can't access wp-admin or dashboard

    Hello,

    I have a WordPress installation in running in Amazon Web Services, using an EC2 micro instance and RDS for the database.

    I’m running the latest update of WordPress (3.5.1) as of today. A couple of weeks ago the blog went completely down, I got the server error 500, but a reset of EC2 and RDS fixed the issue.

    Now since this last weekend, the blog site is up and running, but I can’t access the wp-admin or dashboard. I can get to the wp-login page, but after logging in I get the 500 server error. I need help diagnosing and solving this issue.

    Have you tried disabling all plugins?

    How can I disable them if I can’t access the dashboard?

    Will renaming the plugins folder and creating an empty one work?

    Just rename the plugins folder.

    Ok Rajesh, you just saved me! I have my dashboard back.

    Can you point me in the direction of diagnosing what might have gon wrong?… I suppose disabling one plugin at a time… (?)

    Just enable each plugin one-by-one, and you’ll find the culprit!

    Something went wrong and I lost all content in the plugins folder… So I won’t be able to diagnose what was wrong.

    Anyways I think is better this way since I had to make a plugin cleanup. But I will try installing the ones I use the most and will report back if I find anything wrong.

    I have a problem that I can’t access Posts in Dashboard area. Everything else works fine and I can even Edit published posts from Frontend of the page.

    But I can’t access Posts where I also have some importants Drafts…
