    Hello everyone,
Today I updated to the WP 3.5.2 and it seemed to be working fine. I use bluehost but go through wordpress.org. I also activated jetpack but to do so I needed to created a wordpress.com account. I activated carousel and tiled pages and things were still going fine. I was adding content width support in the functions.php and when I hit the update button I got a Server Error 500. I cannot login to wordpress.org now and when I signed into wordpress.com and clicked on my blog I get the same error. I do not know if it is an Error related to having both wordpress.com and .org/bluehost. I dont know about FTP and do not have anything on my computer to change or upload everything I have done on the site has all been through http://www.northshorefox.com/wp-admin/

    Any help would be great!!!!

  • You will need to use FTP to access your site – here’s the info on FTP on BH:

    https://my.bluehost.com/cgi/help/ftpaccounts

Once you get that set up, first deactivate your plugins by changing the name on the plugins folder:

    wordpress
       wp-content
           pluginsHOLD (change the name here)

IF that does not fix it, what theme are you using?

does the issue occur if you temporarily switched to the WP default theme (Twenty Twelve)?

The theme I am using is called Artworks. I am setting up the FTP and will be going through filezilla, but no remote site info comes up when I put in my info in filezilla.

You need to ask BlueHost about any FTP questions – your FTP info isn’t the same as your WP info (unless you happen to set it up identically).

Ok, the for anyone else who reads this who cannot get to their directory, find the email that your host sent you, and the FTP info as well as your user name are all in that email. There is no need to create a FTP because it already exist.

I changed plugins to pluginsHOLD and the problem still persist. Is there a way to change the theme back to TwentyTwelve through FIleZilla?

Yes, change the name on your theme’s folder the same way as plugins – find it in the themes folder.

I got it! I changed the theme I was using name to HOLD at the end. I was able to get into the wordpress dashboard now. Good work team 😀
