 * Me too; cannot log in: Site is down.
 * Here’s my error message:
 * Fatal error: Class ‘slim_browscap_db’ not found in /home/grandce9/public_html/
   ext/wp-slimstat/browscap/browser.php on line 22

 * Same error. Until we get a fix, you can FTP and download the wp-slimstat folder
   as a backup, then delete it from your server and get your site back up. I don’t
   recall changing anything on my site. I just discovered it down today and, after
   looking at the logs in cpanel, it appears it happened sometime earlier today.

 * We apologize for the inconvenience. Please upgrade to Slimstat 4.4.3 in order
   to fix the issue.

 * Please note: DO NOT UNINSTALL your current version or you will lose all your
   data!!! Follow these steps: delete the file browscap-db.php in `/wp-content/uploads/
   wp-slimstat` and the error should disappear in version 4.4.2. Then go to Plugins
   and upgrade to version 4.4.3 and let the plugin install the new version of browscap-
   db.php for you. It should work from there.
 * Please let me know if that’s the case.

 * There is no file browscap-db.php in `/wp-content/uploads/wp-slimstat`. I have“
   maxmind.dat” only.

 * I tried everything above, nothing worked. Deleting browscap-db.php, uninstalling
   the entire plugin, installing the latest version, etc. And still no result:

 * Deleting .htaccess and resetting the permalinks helped a bit. Somehow when I
   login to wordpress using <url>/wp-login and I click Remember me’, everything
   works fine. Even when I close the browser and try again, just using the normal
   url. As long as I don’t logout.

 * I see. Is there a browscap-db.php in wp-content/plugins/wp-slimstat/browscap/?
   If so, delete that one and upgrade to version 4.4.3. Again, upgrading (in a way
   or another) will solve the issue.

 * No, I have removed the entire plugin. This file could only be found in the wp-
   content/uploads folder (in which I also removed the wp-slimstat folder). So everything
   should work just fine. However…it still doesn’t, except for when I’m logged in.

 * [@abartokinkelder](https://wordpress.org/support/users/abartokinkelder/) would
   you be able to determine your PHP memory limit configuration? I’m afraid the
   new version of Browscap, which includes many new user agent strings, might be
   hitting your server limits. The issue does not occur when you’re logged in, probably
   because you configured Slimstat not to track your username or the admin (which
   is the default setting).

 * Do I need php.ini to check this configuration? That one I couldn’t find in wp-
   admin and creating it myself including code also didn’t change anything. Other
   tips for increasing the php memory for example by changing wp-config had no effect.

   And the first thing I see when I log in using /wp-login, is ‘Oops! That page
   can’t be found” on my homepage. Clearing the browser cache temporarily helps,
   but the error remains. Except for updating the plugin (which I removed entirely),
   nothing has been changed.

 * [@abartokinkelder](https://wordpress.org/support/users/abartokinkelder/), you
   can ask your service provider to help you find out what your PHP memory limit
   is. Also, accessing the web server error log could give you some clues on what
   is happening.

 * I had my hosting company disable the plugin which provided me access to my sites
   once again. I took the update to 4.4.3 and the issue resolved.
 * Thanks for your quick attention.

   patience, it is much appreciated. Glad to hear everything is back to normal.

 * When the problems first started a few weeks ago I reverted to 4.4.1 via plugin
   edit (as you suggested) – and that resolved things at the time.
    Then a few days
   ago I suddenly found my whole site down with 500 error and the slimstat-related
   msg posted by others. I disabled slimstat (still at 4.4.1) via c-panel and deleted
   browscap-db.php. Left slimstat deactivated to see what would be announced here(
   I can afford to be without it for a few days). Now when I try to activate, update,
   anything, it gives me a 500 error (just in the plugins page, fortunately, not
   the whole site). I note browscap-db.php has reappeared in my c-panel file manager–
   don’t know if that is good or bad?! I’d like to get slim stat working again with
   my database intact if possible. Is there a way to recover this or should I delete
   and reinstall? Thanks for your great free plugin and for trying so hard to help
   us all via this forum. PS this may be dumb (I know nothing about all this stuff)
   but could it have anything to do with a jetpack conflict? I noticed when the
   problem first started and I was re-enabling plugins to see which had caused the
   problem – everything was fine till I had BOTH JP and SS active together. I deactivated
   JP and kept SS which seemed fine till this recent thing.
