# Error 500

 * I cannot get into my admin panel. I get the message
    •The website is under maintenance.
 * •The website has a programming error
    The site is working fine. I have tried 
   renaming the plugin’s folder and the bluediamond theme but none of these have
   worked. I contacted my server providers and looked at the error log but they 
   tell me it is a wordpress problem. I have sub domains on the same account running
   wordpress and they are OK could anybody please help I need to edit the site.

 * Can you provide the website URL? Have you made any changes recently?
 * You can always try to restore a backup of your site or revert any changes that
   you have made, which could lead to this issue. However, I did some research and
   in most of the cases the issue is caused by a plugin or a theme. What platform
   are you using to host your site? As mush as I have read, this error occurs on
   WordPress sites hosted on Windows and IIS.

    the url is [http://www.computade.com](http://www.computade.com) and is hosted
   on a Linux apache hosting cluster. The only thing I have updated is the wordpress
   to ver 4

 * Your admin link is opening fine at the moment, so I guess that the issue occurs
   when you try to log in. Do you have a root access to your server? You might need
   to check the Apache error_log ( or ask your hosting provider to do that)

    Yes I have access to the server and the error.log is showing “[2014-09-29
   11:59:24] [access_compat:error] [client 148.251.124.174:42312] AH01797: client
   denied by server configuration: /mnt/website/standard/c/o/computade.com/web/robots.
   txt” I spoke to namesco (my providers) and they say this is a wordpress issue.
