 * That depends on how your local server is configured and where you installed WordPress.
   Try `localhost:port/wp-admin/` or `localhost:port/wordpress/wp-admin/`

 * That was how i was able to get on … now nothing is it okay to just reinstall 
   my platform and start all over?

 * I havent herd from any one so I uninstalled everything i installed to have a 
   platform on my vista win pc …filezilla, ms web patform wordpress ect
 * now i have tried to reinstall with xammp and am having probplems
 * http apache is using port 80 in use
    http webdav 81 free https apache 443 in 
   use
 * mysql 3306 in use
    ftp filezilla ftp 21 in use admin filezilla 14147 in use
 * does this help
