# error 404 when accessing wp-admin

 * I installed with Fantastico through Hostgator. When I try to access wp-admin 
   I get error 404. When I type in the website [http://www.carolslinker.com](http://www.carolslinker.com),
   I get a message telling me I don’t have permission to access the site. Please
   help. -Carol

 * carolslinker.com isn’t hosted at HostGator. It looks like it’s hosted with 1&
   1. If you change your name servers and have your site point to your HostGator
   site, it should show you the correct WordPress installation (and subsequently
   the wp-admin site).

 * I was able to pull up your wp-admin page without any trouble. Are you getting
   the 404 after you login?

 * Yes, I’m getting the 404 after I login with my username and password. What could
   be happening here? Is it anything to do with wordpress version? I’m using version
   2.7 Please help.
