Error 404 – trying to solve, help please

    Hi to all, please forgive this question which you have heard many times before, but I can’t seem to fix the Error 404 on my newly created ‘about’ page for my website (which is new). Help would be greatly appreciate – am I evening asking in the right place? I have gone to settings and permalink and hit save changes – still no go 🙁
    Apologies in advance I am totally clueless about coding and struggling with the steep learning curve of how to run a website and blog

    – To rule out any theme-specific issue, try switching to the unedited default Twenty Twelve theme for a moment using the WP dashboard. If you don’t have access to your admin area, you can switch to the default theme by renaming your current theme’s folder in wp-content/themes and adding “-old” to the end of the folder name using via FTP or SFTP or whatever file management application your host provides. Alternately, you can remove other themes except the default theme. That will force your site to use it.

    Thank you Tara – followed your advice and cleared the various themes I had played with then went back to the default theme and Tadaaa! Problem now solved
    My smile is now bigger 🙂

    Hi to all
    My paragraphs all run together with no line spacing – I’ve checked the forum but I don’t understand the answers or what to change. Help to correct this would be greatly appreciated (in very basic step by step instructions – please!)
