I started a new development site from an existing (working) MySql DB & WorPress backup. All works fine, but when I try to ‘view’ existing pages, which I can ‘edit’ on the dashboard, I receive an ‘HTTP 404 Not Found’ error.
However when I go directly to the development site, ‘www.dev.touraco.de/httpdocs/touraco’ the page opens correctly.
I’m working on WP 3.5.1 with Travel Theme.
Can somebody guide here, it is probably one or other setting?
    Thanks.

It shows there is nothing wrong. If you still have problems, try re-saving (need not change anything) your permalink settings.

Also, as you run an older version of WordPress, try to update to the latest version (3.7.1) so that similar problems can be avoided and your site will be secure and safe.

Thanks, I did re-save the permalink, but the problem still persists. I did however find the ‘adding a new page’ allowed me to view the page in ‘pre-view changes’ while still in draft version, but the moment I ‘updated’ I once again had the HTTP 404

I am scared to go to 3.7.1 if I see how many initial problems are reported.

    Thanks & Regards
