# Error 404 – Not Found (PDF)

 * I have (repeatedly) uploaded a 1 page 70k PDF file to the media library and placed
   the link to it in one of the pages and clicked the update button. But I still
   get “Error – 404” when I click on the link in the website.
 * I have read some of the previous threads about this problem but I am a beginner
   and don’t understand the steps that were taken to resolve it.

 * – 404 indicates failure to communicate with the server.
    – there could be many
   resons for it – Check the server error log for your hosting account for any specific
   error message. Ask your webhost for assistance to locate them.
