# Error 404: Not found

 * I have attempted to move a locally owned website (via MAMP) to a live server 
   hosted by 1and1. The homepage is up and running now but I cannot click on anything
   else on the page, or it will present an error 404 page.
 * Anyone have any ideas why this is happening?

 * When you go from `http://localhost:8888/wordpress/` to `http://www.ur-rotmg.com/`
   you have to search through your database and rename all of the old URLs to the
   new.
 * That’s why this image link (and others) is not working.

 * I am so lost. I just replaced my localhost:8888 to the [http://www.ur-rotmg](http://www.ur-rotmg)
   by now I cant even access the admin control panel. It all goes to Error 404.

 * I have totally re-uploaded everything back to the FTP. I can now access the wp-
   admin. However, my site is not showing up.
 * Before, I could see the home page and the contents on it, but couldn’t access
   anything else.
 * Now, I can access the wp-admin but can’t visit the site..
 * Have I missed a step?
