    Hey guys,

I just noticed today that every site I use this plugin in with is facing this error…

    Error 400: redirect_uri_mismatch

You can’t sign in to this app because it doesn’t comply with Google’s OAuth 2.0 policy.

If you’re the app developer, register the redirect URI in the Google Cloud Console.

What happened? Did something change on Google’s end?

  • Hi @lookwhoo,

Thanks for reaching out. Please check the redirect URL you’ve configured which should be “https://connect.wpmailsmtp.com/google/”. You can follow our documentation on the Gmail mailer. There was a change in the redirect URL since 2.5.0, however, the old redirect URLs should have worked fine unless the Google account was disconnected for some reason.

    I hope this helps!

    Hi @sanzeeb3

Thanks for your reply. That’s actually the correct URL I have in the Authorized redirect URI field and when trying to reconnect, I get this message, with attention to the last part…

    Authorization Error

    redirect_uri: https://connect.wpmailsmtp.com/google/

Nothing has changed on the Gmail’s local account end to my knowledge. Not sure what to do.

@lookwhoo and @sanzeeb3 – also having this exact same issue.

    Hi @bpence, @lookwhoo,

Thanks for the details! You might try by re-doing all the steps from our Gmail mailer documentation.

If you still face the issue, change the publishing status to “Testing”. The Apps in production may require verification in some cases.

    I hope this helps!
