Hy guys, I receive since I add the new IAB TCF v2.0 tons of 2.1a errors on Google AdSense. I know the problem and I know that ads must wait to show before user give them the consent but…

I really don’t know how to solve this with Iubenda.

I use Iubenda for my privacy and GDPR implementation and all is fine I think except for this. I have found maybe the solution but before mess and change the whole code on your plugin I’m asking help from you and beg you for a quick solution:

This is the article I found, I don’t think it will be difficult to implement with your amazing plugin but how? –> https://www.iubenda.com/en/help/1182-google-adsense-ad-manager-blocking-cookies

For example, where I must put the entire code of the function iubenda_adsense_unblock? In my header? On every ad code or?

    Thankssss

    Hello,

it seems lubenda plugin supports IAB TCF:
    https://wordpress.org/plugins/iubenda-cookie-law-solution/

Not sure if it suports IAB TCF v2.
If this is the case then you can use this approach:

Hello. yes of course, Iubenda support fully IAB v2 (see here) and about I ask you if I can do what Iubenda suggest (see my first post) on your plugin or you maybe have another easy solution πŸ™

    Not familiar with their soulution.
I suggest to do it as posted above.

I decided to switch to Quantcast Privacy implementing all directly on their site and “install” the universal tag on my header. So I don’t have to use their plugin but understand your guide to how to avoid the 2.1a error for me it’s so so difficult πŸ™
Is there a simple method, a video guide or I don’t know to help me and all the users?

    Not familiar with Quantcast Privacy.
Quantcast Choice is used as cookie consent solution.

For any plugin using IAB TCF v2 the settings to load AdSense ads only after the consent is given are pretty simple:

Thanks, will immediately try and tell you more! Just two more questions:

    1) I have to add this code on every block right? Or I have to put just one time and if yes where?

    2) And of course I have to set like this the dynamic blocks right? –> https://prnt.sc/uzs2g1 (damn, I install your plugin like for 3 years and I always used Client-side show and on my blog I always had only Google AdSense πŸ™ πŸ™ )

    3) do i have to also put a check here? https://prnt.sc/uzsaol

    1) yes, every block that needs to loaded only after the consent is given.

    2) client-side insert

Spacetime, thanks so so much for your help (that I will for sure share!). Just tested in incognito mode and this is the result:

https://prnt.sc/uzsg6u no ads show until I click on accept and this is awesome!!!! but…after clicked on accept, the page doesn’t refresh or reload and my blog post remain without ads showed…can I know how to solve this?

    This is normal.
You need to reload the page to load ads.

Ad Inserter Pro supports option to load ads immediately after the consent is given:

wow…really…wow. Thanks for your amazing and quick support, at least for me and for now, with your settings, all is fine! Your plugin is every day more amazing, for real (pay user here for years!)

    Hi Spacetime,

I am working on the same issue, and have set:

    Manual loading to Auto
    Dynamic blocks to Client-side insert.

Is it indeed blocking the ads from appearing, but once the consent is clicked (using the plugin GDPR Cookie Consent), the ad does not then appear.

Also, when I have Client-side insert selected, one of the ads will not appear on the inside pages (only front) at all. It is mystifying. Changing this back to server side corrects the issue.

Where should I be looking to correct this?

    thanks.

Use debugging functions to diagnose insertions:
    https://adinserter.pro/documentation/debugging

and chek also console in the browser for any error messages.
Make sure Dynamic blocks is set to Client-side insert.

Space hello, just one more question please because I discover that if the user click on REFUSE, the ads will never show (I think because of the settings that I serve personalized ads). How can I set in your plugin that also if the user deny consent ads will show but not personalized?

The plugin only insert ad codes and it seems there is no such setting in the code for AdSense ads.

But if the user refuses cookies (and ads) then you should not display AdSense ads.

Although non-personalized ads don’t use cookies or mobile ad identifiers for ad targeting, they do still use cookies or mobile ad identifiers for frequency capping, aggregated ad reporting, and to combat fraud and abuse. Therefore, you must obtain consent to use cookies or mobile ad identifiers for those purposes where legally required, per the ePrivacy Directive in certain EEA countries.

    Thanks.

    Under manual loading:
“Please note that the settings described here will only insert ad codes immediately after the consent will be given. In most cases the code will display ads, however, this may not happen in all the cases as the ads are displayed by the ad code and the ad code decides what to display and when.”

Does this mean, that if consent has previously been given (say, yesterday), the ad will not show until the next page load?
