• Hello very smart and patient support people :o)

I have WordPress thru SBC Yahoo … I am very very very stupid … I have read many of these entries and am now very confused on top of being stupid … very very very stupid … so … my main question …

Who fixes this? I can’t see ANY of my blog.

[Got error 127 from storage engine]
    SELECT * FROM wp_posts WHERE post_status = ‘static’ ORDER BY post_title ASC

I was posting one entry after another (back-posting … today I posted something for 2/20/08 and went directly into another form to enter a post for 2/21) … I tried to upload a picture and THAT is when it happened … now my stupid Blog is all messed up … I don’t allow ANY comments … I haven’t changed anything in the softwear in over a year …

OMG I neeeeeed to upload … it just never fails … when you reallly need it .. POOF … its gone ;o) … it’s like I should have appreciated it more or something … darn darn darn darn darrrrnnn!!

Well we got the “I’M STUPID” out of the way … and the “YES I know from a quick search that everyone under the sun has had this problem” … sorry to be so annoying … :o( … and stupid.

Please tell me that I dont fix this … I looked for all of the DB things but I dont appear to have what is described … umm and if I do … I dunno where it is … I can find milk in the fridge so this must be something top secret … or just not there for us shpecial Yahoo users …

I dunno what version of WP I have … everywhere I go in the softwear the only thing I see is that error … repeated and repeated and repeated … I foresee nightmares involving that error …

My blog juuuust turned 2 years old … I didn’t do anything odd or different from anything I have done before … so … who can I contact to fix this? Or yell at? LOL Cuz I am freaking out! ;o) Oh well … I hope someone can help me or direct me to THE one and only answer …

Hmm .. I DO have another WP blog that seems to be fine.

    http://www.wolfn8.com/domko

But MY messed up Blog looks like this …

    http://www.wolfn8.com/twainy

I’m sorry this is a duplicate … please help me.

    Happpy Crappy Sunday!

  • Who fixes this?

    you do.

Thats a corrupt table in MySQL. So you go in with phpmyadmin and repair the table(s).

ok … so my blog is somewhere in my Web Hosting Control Panel … under File Manager? … I did see the phpMyAdmin in the list but it doesn’t look ANYTHING like the one in your fix and there is no WP database in the phpMyAdmin folder. Am I looking in the wrong place? I did mention that this is thru Yahoo Small Business, right?

Thank you for your help Mr or Ms Whooami … I realllly did read a lot of stuff here and someone else has a fix that loooks similar to yours … but I can’t find the WP DB in my Yahoo Web Hosting Control Panel in order to change it …

    Sincerely,
    Still stupid

ok … trying to think smarter … my blog is in it’s own directory inside the root folder … when I go into the folder that holds my blog stuff there are 3 folders and a bunch of PHP files … the 3 folders are … wp-admin, wp-content, wp-includes

Would there be another phpMyAdmin thing somewhere else … maybe in one of those folders? I HAVE looked but I haven’t seemed to be able to find the phpMyAdmin anywhere but the root directory.

sorry so wordy … sorry so stupid … sorry so impatient to fix this … I think I forgot annoying and a pain in the butt … thanx again for trying to help.

I normally dont feel this stupid … :o(

    Please help …

I contacted Yahoo Small Business and they insist WordPress has to help me with DataBase problems … but I have NO idea where the database is in order to fix it … nothinglooks like any of the fixes present in this forum.

I read somewhere that someone else had problems with WordPress offerred to Yahoo customers with Web spacethru Yahoo Small Business …

Is anyone out there a Yahoo customer who knows how to get the DB info or can tel lme what to tell Yahoo in order to get someone … anyone … to help me? Now BOTH of my blogs have errors and I never even touched the other Blog since I gotthe 1st error!

Yahoo tells me to contact WordPress and WordPress tells me to fix it myself … in essence telling me to contact Yahoo for help.

    Thanx

ok … I found the DB … actually I didnt find it .. Bob at Yahoo did for me … after 82 minutes on the phone … and that is as far as he would help me … it is named index.php … inside the myPhp folder …

What I found DOES look like the fix I got up there … BUT there is no overhead column …so … am I doing something wrong or is there another fix out there?

    I’m talking to myself, aren’t I? LOL

In the DB and actually on both web sites now … it shows err13 …

I realllly don’t want to loose the over 5000 images and 1200 entries that I have in both blogs … please help …

    please

you need to ask yahoo where and how you access phpmyadmin, and if they dont use phpmyadmin, how you access your mysql databases..

Thats where you start, and thats not something I can answer for you. I do not use them as a host – never have, never will.

Certainly they don’t expect the ppl here to help you with THAT, do they?

It sounds like you have found something, but it doesn’t sound like phpmyadmin, so youre going to have to identify what it is, before I can go any further.

I think I am on the right track …

Under the Structure tab it shows the tables like on the fix you showed me … but there is no column on the far right named “overhead” … these are the columns I see …

    Table Action Records Type Size

When I click on the Query tab I get …

    Error

    SQL-query :

    PMA_mysql_list_fields(

    twainy, wp_posts
    )

    MySQL said:

File ‘./twainy/wp_posts.MYD’ not found (Errcode: 13)

Yeah … I was very lucky to get anyone on the phone at yahoo … their e-mails always direct the Yahoo customer to the wP forums … at least when I get thru to Yahoo on the phone … if I get a nice person … they TRY to help … but they seem almost as clueless as I am. At least Bob help me find the DB thru the Index.php file in phpMyAdmin … I logged on with my username and password … but alas I am very very very stupid and don’t know how to fix the table.

I realllllllly wish I knew what I did to get the error.

    I owe you. Thanx

    N

    is it fixed?

    Thread Starter twainy

    (@twainy)

nope … I was just wishing that I knew what I did to cause this cuz I dont evvvvver wanna do it (or anything like it) again!!! LOL I am still staring at 2 screwed up blogs … blah …

    Thread Starter twainy

    (@twainy)

Does anyone have any other help that I could try or do I just have to delete both blogs and lose the thousands of posts and images?

    Thread Starter twainy

    (@twainy)

Would it help if I edit the table for the wp_posts? When I click on repair for that table I get ….

    SQL-query
SQL-query : [Edit] [Create PHP Code]
    REPAIR TABLE wp_posts

    Table
    twainy.wp_posts

    Op
    repair

    Msg_type
    error

    Msg_text
File ‘./twainy/wp_posts.MYD’ not found (Errcode: 13)

I would have no idea how to edit it and I don’t know PHP.

    thanx
    Nancy

Time to call your host. Give them the error codes and have ’em fix you up.

“File not found” goes beyond clicking the repair button! πŸ™‚

Summary … based on the info I finally got from YAHOO over the phone … just now … IF you host your Blog thru Yahoo … and you get a database error 127 or 13 … don’t take their canned answer to contact WordPress for help! This is a KNOWN problem and YAHOO says that they will fix it! Make sure you ask for your problem to be viewed by a technician and get a case number! They are fixing the problems on a per case basis while working on a general fix! Apparantly no one is reallly aware of this problem at yahoo … (if my 7-8 phone calls and e-mails are any indication LOL) … so don’t let them bully you off the phone … it is a KNOWN problem to someone over there!!

My problem hasn’t been resolved yet … I’ll letcha know IF they do fix it and how long it takes …

Thanx Handy and Whoami for the informed support!!

    Happy Tuesday!
    Nancy

I can tell you have been through the ringer with Yahoo support, its not better when you have a problem with your small business email account, I can asure you.

I am having a similar error 127, relating to the spam filtering which I suspect is probably caused by the same problem you are discussing above, so I guess its in to Help Desk Phone Hold Hell for me… There is no way I want to try and touch the SQL data base, I am sure to screw it up. Sure wish Yahoo would update the version of WordPress that they distribute to their web server subscribers.

A question Twainy, did Yahoo give you a problem ticket number to reference when they finally admitted this was a known issue, I’d love to through that in their face when I call them.
