Hi everybody! Sorry to repeat this inquiry in this forum again, but this is driving me nuts. I get the “Error: 0. Check console output for debugging information” everytime I try to update a string translation. Things I’ve tried:

    1) Everything in this link of yours: https://localise.biz/wordpress/plugin/faqs/ajax-errors. I don’t have a firewall, nor Wordfence-like pulgins. Nothing.

    2) This solution by @struxoje https://wordpress.org/support/topic/loco-error-ajax-failure-for-save/#post-9494568. I was excited to find this, but after contacting my webhost, they answered, literally: “[…] There is no ModSecurity rule that is being triggered when you try to save the changes. […]”.

So, here I am, walking in circles, stuck in this problem. Any clue I may have missed? Thank you, community, and congrats Tim for this amazing plugin.

Hi! Thank you for your prompt response! Sorry I didn’t see that pinned topic. Anyway, the option “Enable Ajax file uploads” is enabled and the problem persists. Any idea? :”( Running on Loco Translate v2.3.1

And do you get a different result with Ajax uploads disabled?

My only observation from your post is that you get error 0. A server would never respond with status “0”, which suggests perhaps that the request never gets as far as the server. But I’m making wild guesses. Only debugging your site can establish the cause.

OMG! I disabled Ajax uploads and it’s working now!!! Sometimes “you can’t see the forest because of all the trees”. I was searching for complicated solutions and it was sooo simple to solve, in plain sight! Thank you for guiding me cleverly to the solution and congrats for this amazing, referential plugin.

OK, good. Although I’d like to know why your Ajax uploads don’t work. This feature was added to avoid errors, not cause new ones. If you ever find out why this happens, please post back.

If you want to, I could share my login credentials privately with you, so that you can examine it personally and debug the error for future improvements. It’s the least I could do for your amazing plugin.
