Erroneous Error Received when Registering new User

    I am a wordpress newbie. I just developed a new website using wordpress 3.2.1. Whenever I register a new user, it successfully adds the record to the database, but at the same time also gives me the following 2 errors:

    ERROR: This username is already registered, please choose another one.

    ERROR: This email is already registered, please choose another one.

    The strange thing is that when I click Create Account button, I hear 2 clicks, so maybe it is submitting the form twice that is why I am getting that error.

    Any help would be highly appreciated.

    Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the Twenty Eleven theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

    – resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    How do I deactivate all plugins, is that through PhpMyAdmin as well ?
