The Apple Podcast app now has a “Hosts & Guests” section showing in the podcast listing – is it possible to provide this info to Apple via Powerpress?

Also some podcasts seem to have sections in the episode listing (e.g. name of a season, or a year) – is it possible to provide this info to Apple via Powerpress?

    Hello Nathan,

    Thanks for using PowerPress!

The new hosts and Guests feature is not tied to syndication, it is part of the podcastsconnect.apple.com account. From what I have been told you need to contact support at Apple to gain access to this. Sorry I do not know more, but it does appear to work similar to how artists for movies and music work in other parts of Apple.

Seasons, show type (episodic/serial) and other episode attributes can be enabled/disabled in the PowerPress Settings > Episode tab. Make sure you are in advanced mode to see these options. it is smart to set episode numbers, as well as iTunees title. If you are doing a serial based podcast, you can also specify the season number with every episode. If you do a serial podcast, the season and episode number information is required. This is why these settings are enabled/disabled together in PowerPress Settings > Episode.

    Thanks,
    Angelo

I have more information for “Hosts & Guests” from Apple…

These enhancements are only available for selected top shows in English. More podcasts will be added over time; please review and accept the latest Terms of Service in Podcasts Connect for your show to be eligible for these features.

Link to Podcasts Connect if you do not have it: https://podcastsconnect.apple.com

    Thanks,
    Angelo
