    Hello,

I’m using PowerPress for my retro gaming podcast and am very satisfied with everything it offers – with one exception: It does cut the episode notes of my episodes short. There’s the text, something between 250 and 270 characters, followed by a “more” which links to the episode website. Here’s a link to the RSS feed showing it: /feed/podcast/. And here the iTunes information: https://itunes.apple.com/de/podcast/game-not-over/id1299756082?l=en&mt=2&ls=1

I’d very much like the episode to display all of the text without the “more” link at the end. I thought that by checking “iTunes Summary Field (Leave unchecked to use your blog post)” in the episodes folder of PowerPress options, subsequently followed by writing the episode notes in the podcast’s “iTunes Summary” field I would achieve exactly that – but unfortunately it does not change a thing.

    What am I doing wrong?

    Thanks a lot in advance!
    Paul

    Hello @froschi,

iTunes uses the content:encoded field to show your complete show notes/blog posts. This content is displayed in the feed by a setting in WordPress (not PowerPress).

Go to WordPress Settings > Reading tab. The setting “For each article in a feed, show”, make sure “Full text” is selected then click save.

Give iTunes 24-48 hours to update then you should see the more link expand and show all of your episode notes in the iOS podcasts app.

Note the web link (https://itunes.apple.com/de/podcast/game-not-over/id1299756082?) will never show complete show notes.

    Thanks,
    Angelo

    Hello Angelo,

Ahhhhhh, I thought it was a Powerpress setting. Thank you very much!
