    Hi Phil,

    Thanks for the kind words.

I was thinking of adding support for environments but I do not know how this could be added in a way that is as simple as copy/pasting the container ID itself.

My problem is that environments do not have any well documented IDs that can be copy pasted easily. It is only some added JS code in the container code that.

    What do you think?

From someone who uses GTM environments, a this would definitely be helpful. Perhaps hidden away in some advanced configuration section where users can paste the implementation code in a text input block and that override the GTM-ID field.

I understand the need to keep things simple for the majority of all users but being able to use the environment feature in GTM is something I’m definitely interested in. Sure I could install GTM by hand to templates but the beauty of your plugin is how simple it is to install and you’ve already built many dataLayer hooks so grabbing that meta information is so easy…its really hard not to use your plugin when it saves so much time 🙂

But yes…environments is a feature request I think would get enough use to make it worthwhile.

    Hi,

    Thanks for adding your thoughts.
I added this to my issue tracker so that I can check what I could do to support environments:

This is cool and I’m following it 🙂 Maybe I get a big project requiring this in the future so we could fund this effort…
