Support » Installing WordPress » Entries (RSS) & Comments (RSS) won’t work

  • At the footer of my page there are two links:

    Entries (RSS) and Comments (RSS).

    Whenever I Click on these they won’t open. I just installed it and added the Flash plugin Kimili Flash Embedded from Michael Bester, that’s all. So pretty clean setup, Why doesn’t these links work as I want?

    The links now have “feed:” in front of them. This is a new protocol which automatically launches your default feed reader. To remove that, open the Footer Template (footer.php) and change:
    <a href="feed:<?php bloginfo('rss2_url'); ?>">Entries (RSS)</a>

    <a href="<?php bloginfo('rss2_url'); ?>">Entries (RSS)</a>

    Basically, just remove the “feed:” part.

    This is great, thanks for your help…

    I’ve just got one more question, how to replace the plain text with images, I would like to add images like RSS and ATOM feeds for this…

    Here’s my code for the footer.php

    Could someone help me how to place images in stead of plain links to the RSS feeds, whenever I do it I end up with a white block in the footer, as if it won’t load the image…

    <script language=”JavaScript”

    <hr />
    <div id=”footer”>

    <?php bloginfo(‘name’); ?>
    is powered by

    “>Entries (RSS)
    and “>Comments (RSS).
    <!– <?php echo $wpdb->num_queries; ?> queries. <?php timer_stop(1); ?> seconds. –>

    <!– Gorgeous design by Michael Heilemann – –>
    <?php /* “Just what do you think you’re doing Dave?” */ ?>

    <?php do_action(‘wp_footer’); ?>
