entering shortcode in elementor possible?

Hi there!

I am using OceanWP child and elementor to build my simple website. I came across this beautiful plugin and installed it asap. I watched as many tutorials on it as I could on how to use it. I created a new book from a pdf.

preview works just fine in terms of the plugin working but also showed me that the blank page that this plugin creates does not look like any of the rest of my website (I disable generic footer and header and have created my own)

I then entered the shortcode into a section of elementor but nothing happened. What didn’t I do correctly? I’m guessing it’s something obvious as other shortcodes work just fine in elementor.

So can I just add the shortcode into elementor?
