Support » Plugin: Getwid - Gutenberg Blocks » Enjoy it, but never take it seriously

  • It’s very neutral opinion from dev with 10+ y of experience.
I enjoy <u>only</u> two block types – container, and headline.
It’s nice they are so nice, but when I use GW I’m forced to load full bulshit I’ll never use on frontend. There’s also one huge problem with one of my favorite block – headline: If I don’t want to load G Fonts I’m not able to choice weight.
I could fork it form my blog personally but I’m not able to do this – all js is minified and not redable. Sorry Guys (and if there are some – Girls). It’s a plugin I belive in even without a grate theme You developed, but till I can’t deregister blocks and stop loading tons of JS and CSS I can’t say I’m fully happy.
I’ll check it later – maybe my opinion is worth something and You’ll implement changes to allow us to save the transfer and get higher Google PSI scores.
BTW – please add new option for fonts (font display property).
    Best,
    Paul

    Hi Paul,

    Thank you for the review!
We are quite proud of our Google PSI score. The demo of the Getwid Base theme with the Getwid plugin installed scored:
    99 – on desktop
    88 – on mobile
Getwid loads these two assets on front end:
    frontend-js – 36Kb
    frontend-css – 120Kb
Thank you for the feedback. We will take it into account to make the plugin better.

    Best regards,
    MotoPress Team
