  • The category pricing add-on is very handy. Would you consider making the price listing column headers sortable? Presently the list is ordered by last updated which makes updating larger price lists difficult. If I could at least sort the list by name, that would be super-cool!

    Also, it would nice to come up with some kind of “Introductory Offer” or “Monthly Speical” which overrides the other pricings for a given category. For example, if I’m selling widgets, I could have the following everyday pricing:

    Regular Widget Ad….$4.95
    Featured Widget Ad….$6.95

    Now let’s create a “Holiday Special” pricing of say, $2.00

    The Regular and Featured pricings would no longer appear from the selection list when the user is creating their ad. Now all they see this the “Holiday Special $2.00”.

    Later when the special pricing period is over, if there could be a way to make the “special” price inactive using either a checkbox or an expiration date, then the regular pricing would once again display.

    Thanks
    Jeff

    Hi,
    thanks for the suggestions, we do not have a feature which would sort the pricings, but you can enable sorting by title by adding the code below in your theme functions.php file

    add_filter( "wpadverts_filter_pricings", function( $pricings ) {
        if( ! is_object( $pricings ) || ! isset( $pricings->posts ) ) {
            return $pricings;
        }
        uasort( $pricings->posts, function( $a, $b ) {
            if( $a->post_title > $b->post_title ) {
                return 1;
            } else {
                return -1;
            }
        } );
        return $pricings;
    } );

    As for the “Monthly Special” if i understand correctly, it is possible to do it manually right now.

    From wp-admin / Classifieds / Options / Payments / Pricing panel you can create new pricing “Holiday Special” $2.00 and mark the “Regular Widget Ad” and “Featured Widget Ad” as inactive, then only the Holiday Special will be visible.

    Once the holiday is over you can make “Holiday Special” inactive and enable the Regular and Featured Widget Ads.

    This would seem to do what you are looking for unless i am missing something here?
