    Hi,

I’m using your plugin on many sites (and recommending it greatly) but had several time issues on batch uploads due to delays/timeouts related to the option “Convert on upload”.

I believe it’s not a good idea to have that option activated by default as often (depending on themes) there are many formats created when actually only 2 or 3 are really used on the frontend meaning the convert on demand making more sense on saving cpu and disk space.

Thanks for your gr8 work 🙂

Sounds reasonable. I’ll change the default. Thanks for the suggestion!

ps: created an issue for it here

Done. Will be available in next release.

I also added a little warning about slower experience of uploading in the help text.

    Thank you 🙂

    Hi, was this change published?

I think this enhancement appears to have broken the plugin for several of my sites. The upload on import button is no longer checked and doesn’t work by default, which is correct.

However, when I tick the upload on import it also does not work. It doesn’t generate any errors either, it’s as if it is no longer trying. I am using the latest version of WordPress with an NGINX setup.

I don’t think the change has been published yet…

The change has not been published yet. I’m planning on releasing tomorrow. The “convert on upload” feature btw. does not appear broken to me…

The next release btw includes WP CLI commands for converting and flushing webps. For those who knows WP CLI, this will probably be the favoured way of converting

Published – part of the 0.20.0 release
