[resolved] English or GB flag for English Translation (2 posts)

    Hello all,

    Firstly, thank you for creating such an excellent plugin, it's helped me a great deal.

    I was wondering why the English/GB translation's flag (when enabled in the widget) is an American flag? I think it would be more globally recognised (not to mention, correct) if it was a Great Britain flag or at least an English flag as that is where the language originated from.

    Is there a hack which would allow for the display of the correct flag or would it be possible to request a feature for the next version that would allow the webmaster to select either the GB flag or American flag?

    Sorry guys...

    I jumped the gun without reading your FAQ. Solution below:

    I am using the flag interface and would like to change the flag used for some language
    In the languages array in the constants.php file change the two letter ISO code used for that flag

    For example, to change the flag for the English language from the stars and stripes to the Union jack find the following line

    'en' => 'English,English,us,en_US',

    And change it to:

    'en' => 'English,English,gb,en_US',

    Note that this works out of the box only in the non css version of the widget, to make this work in the css version you will have to modify the image used.
